Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers about our casting services, materials, quality, and ordering process.

General Questions

What is iron casting?
Iron casting is a manufacturing process where molten gray or ductile iron is poured into a sand mold to produce near-net-shape components. It offers excellent design flexibility, cost efficiency, and mechanical properties for industrial parts.
What materials do you offer?
We offer gray iron (HT200, HT250, HT300) and ductile iron (QT400-15, QT500-7, QT600-3, QT700-2). Other grades are available upon request.
Do you provide custom casting services?
Yes, we specialize in OEM/ODM custom castings based on your drawings or samples. From prototyping to mass production, we manage pattern making, casting, machining, and finishing.

Process & Production

What casting methods do you use?
Our primary method is green sand casting. We also support resin sand casting and lost foam casting for specific applications.
What is your production capacity?
Annual casting capacity exceeds 8,000 tons. We can handle single prototypes up to 5 tons per piece and high-volume orders of 50,000+ units per month.
Do you provide machining after casting?
Absolutely. We offer in-house CNC milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and surface grinding to deliver ready-to-assemble parts.

Quality & Standards

How do you ensure quality?
We follow ISO 9001:2015 certified processes. Every batch undergoes raw material verification, in-process inspection, CMM dimensional check, and mechanical testing (tensile, hardness). Full traceability is maintained.
Do you follow international standards?
Yes, we comply with ASTM A48 (gray iron), ASTM A536 (ductile iron), ISO 1083, DIN, and ANSI standards. We also meet customer-specific requirements.
Do you provide inspection reports?
Yes, we provide material certificates (EN 10204 3.1), dimensional inspection reports, and mechanical test reports upon request.

Pricing & MOQ

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
For prototypes, we accept orders starting from 1–5 pieces. For mass production, MOQ is flexible (typically 100–500 pieces), but we are happy to discuss smaller batches.
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing depends on material grade, part complexity, weight, quantity, machining requirements, and surface treatment. Contact us with your drawing for a detailed quote.
Do you charge for tooling?
Pattern and tooling costs are separate. We offer competitive tooling prices and can amortize tooling costs over production volume for long-term projects.

Lead Time & Delivery

What is your typical lead time?
Tooling: 15–25 days. First sample: 20–30 days. Mass production: 30–45 days after sample approval. Expedited services are available upon request.
Do you support global shipping?
Yes, we ship worldwide via sea freight, air freight, or express courier. We have experience exporting to North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Can you handle urgent orders?
We can expedite tooling and production for urgent requirements. Please contact us with your timeline to discuss possibilities.
